Yukon Territory

The Yukon is known worldwide for its natural resources. The rich mineral resources of the territory - including gold, lead, zinc, copper and silver - are actively explored and mined. One gas field is producing in southeastern Yukon and further investment in the oil and gas sector is being pursued.

The territory's high-quality, fine-grained wood appeals to overseas investors as do locally manufactured wood products, such as fine furniture, wood laminate stock and lumber. Tourism is the second largest industry, with stunning scenery and back country recreation opportunities allowing its continued success.
